How to set up RSS feed notifications with PowerAutomate (Smartphone)
- First, you’ll need to sign up for a PowerAutomate account if you don’t already have one. You can sign up for a free trial to see if it’s right for you.
- Next, you’ll need to create a new flow. To do this, click on the “Create” button and search “RSS” to get Flows from Microsoft.
- “Create Flow” to build an RSS Push Notfication Flow.
- In the next step Click “Edit” to change Flow Properties. You’ll need to enter the URL of the RSS feed you want to receive notifications for. You can also choose to receive notifications for all new items or only for specific ones
- In my case it is the RSS feed of swisshockeynews. Here I just have to stay up to date. 😊
“Save” and the flow runs automatically from now on
That’s it! You’ll now receive notifications whenever there are updates to the RSS feed you selected. You can repeat these steps to set up notifications for multiple RSS feeds if you like.
Attention: In order for the push notification to be displayed on the smartphone, the “PowerAutomate” app from the Appstore must of course be installed and registered once.
